Mobile Bidding Instructions

This year, we are excited to use mobile bidding for the Holiday Auction! You will be able to place bids on silent auction items using your smartphone, iPod, iPad, tablet, or computer. Also, you can easily track your bids by "following" your activity without having to continuously return to a table or bid sheet.

How it Works

When you check in at the event, confirm that we have your name, cell phone number, and credit card information (all of which you can provide when you purchase your tickets and register online).

When you are registered and checked in to the event, you will receive a 'Welcome' text message containing a link to your bidder URL. Simply click the link and then select the red Yes! button when you see your name.

Your name, bid number, and table number will appear at the top left of your screen.

Click on the original text message at any time to return to mobile bidding. You can also enter ocrcc2017.ggo.mobi into your browser and then enter your cell phone number or bid number to continue.

Generally, spouses/partners share a bidder number, and all sales/purchases are listed on one receipt with one credit card on file for Express Checkout. We recommend that you register both of your cell phone numbers so that you can each place bids from your own phone using the same bidder number.

View Items

Click on the red Show Items button to browse all silent auction items.

You can also search by entering the package number or keyword in the Item #/Keyword box and then clicking on the red OK button.

To return to your home page, click on the small white house icon in the black band at the top left corner of your screen.

Place & Track Bids

You may choose to set a Max Bid: If you enter the highest max bid on an item, the system will automatically place bids in your favor until your max bid is reached or until the silent auction closes. If your bid is lower than the highest max bid on that package, you will be prompted to enter a higher bid.

Select Details/Bidbutton to bid on an item at the next available amount.

To purchase an item outright without bidding, select the Buy Now button.

You may also select Watch to keep track of bids on an item you're interested in.

You can view items you have bid on or are watching by selecting the My Bids button.

The timer in the upper left of your screen in the black band will countdown until the end of the silent auction. If you're outbid at any point before the silent auction closes, you'll be notified by text message. When the silent auction closes, the guest with the highest bid will win the item. High bids will be displayed to others using your bid number, not your name.

Bid Help

If you don't have a smartphone, don't want to use it, or have trouble placing bids, not to worry! We will have volunteers standing by who can place bids on your behalf and answer your questions.

Check Out

After the silent auction closes, select My Bids to see which items you won. If you have already registered a credit card for Express Checkout, simply pick up your items after dinner and go - your card will be charged for any outstanding purchases 1-3 days after the event. If you have not registered for Express Checkout, please stop by the registration room on your way out to pay for items, donations, drawing prize tickets, and dessert bids.

Make a Donation

If you wish to make a tax-deductible donation to the Orange County Rape Crisis Center, click on the Donate button on your home screen, select the amount you would like to give, and click Submit.
